The Department of Pathology hosts a weekly seminar series in which investigators who have demonstrated outstanding research are invited to present their work. Each academic year faculty members, students, and fellows suggest speakers for the seminar series. In addition to giving a one-hour presentation, the speaker attends a luncheon following the seminar with interested graduate students and post-doctoral fellows from the department. In addition the speakers meet with faculty members from the central department as well as with faculty at the affiliate hospitals and institutions with similar research interests. Our seminar series is widely attended and considered among the best departmental seminar series at the medical school. The research topics presented in the series involve many areas of research, and reflect the rich diversity of research interests within the department.
The seminars are typically held on Wednesdays from 12:15 P.M. to 1:15 P.M in the HIM Lecture Room 138 (unless indicated otherwise). For more information, or to schedule a meeting with any of the speakers, please e-mail the seminar coordinator.
