This center is a relatively new facility which was set up to provide departmental researchers as well researchers within the Harvard Medical School access to and training on various microscopes including a spinning disk confocal microscope. Access to the microscopes and the state-of-the-art imaging and analysis software (Improvision’s Volocity and Universal Imaging Corporation’s Metamorph) is on a fee-for-usage basis. Training on the use of the spinning disk confocal microscope is required and can be acquired independently or by scheduling a training session. Please contact Kristen Parker.
The core houses a Perkin Elmer Spinning disk confocal microscope, an API DeltaVision and workstation, two Nikon inverted light flourescence microscopes, two direct light flourescence microscopes, and a microinjection microscope.
